Om Blood of the Lamb
Once again Gabby, the guardian angel character introduced in the author's first book Friends Forever, is on an assignment from God to help a young girl who is crying out for help. This time her name is Jessica Vale, and the setting of the story is New Orleans where voodoo is the very real evil that must be faced by the young characters. After a series of tragedies beset her family, Jessica finds herself being drawn into the darkness with painful consequences. One new friend encourages her to seek solace from the darkness while Gabby provides the light which uncovers the voodoo curse that threatens to destroy the Vale family. As the story progresses, a battle between darkness and light is waged for Jessica's very soul. But evil is no match for the secret weapon the young angel carries in a golden vial on a chain around her neck. The blood of the Lamb secures the victory over demonic plans of revenge by a voodoo priestess for a tragic death which took place years ago. True friendship wins in the end as evil is exposed and dealt with in horrific circumstances. Another successful assignment is completed by Gabby as she leaves Jessica's family restored and her friend free to become the person God created her to be. Mary Ann McRaney spent over thirty years in the classroom with most of that time as a middle school English teacher. Upon retirement in 2008, God called her to write books with positive Christian messages for kids. Friends Forever was her first book, and now she has followed it with Blood of the Lamb, the second book in a planned series about the assignments of a guardian angel named Gabriella. The author hopes her books will be beacons of light in an increasingly dark world, and that kids will benefit from God's message of love and hope.
