We are now living in a world that is turning more attention to physical motions and physical procedures in what they think is necessary for prayer rather than on God who listens to their prayers. The world has turned the procedure of prayer into a ritual most likely because of not getting answers to their prayers. By some religions, there are prayer rugs, prayer cloths, burning candles, chanting, and special postures and positions in prayer. There are special motions with their hands and special beads, and all of which are totally unbiblical. The world has fallen in love with their rituals before, during, and after prayer more than in God who listens to their prayers. They are more concerned with their rituals than receiving answers to their prayers and getting help from God when they pray.

One of the things that this author has noticed concerning other commentators on the book of Revelation is that typically many brilliant authors who normally would write wonderful information on other parts of the Bible would throw the simple guidelines on how to interpret the Bible out the window when coming to the book of Revelation. For some reason, many commentators would move the entire book of Revelation into figurative language and totally miss what God is telling us in the book of Revelation. Please see another book by this author, How to Study the Bible for Yourself, which contains and explains the ten laws of hermeneutics. Please read this book, Revelation, very carefully and with much prayer.

One of the things that is heavily neglected in the average Christians life is the spiritual gifts he or she has been given by God.First Timothy 4:14 says, Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.Many of Gods people do not have a clue about any spiritual gifts, let alone what spiritual gift or gifts they might have. Out of the many benefits that we can get from knowing our spiritual gifts is that when known, it gives us a strong indication on how God intends to use us. Due to this, it also plays a great part in knowing Gods will for the individual believers life. Putting your spiritual gift to practice and use means God will use you in a greater way with the spiritual gifts than without them.
