This book delves into enhancing machining performance for EN-24 alloy steel, a challenging material widely used in various industrial applications. Cutting fluids' impact on tool performance during CNC turning was investigated, comparing wet and dry conditions across different cutting parameters¿spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. Using an L18 orthogonal array and Taguchi approach for optimization. Spindle speed emerged as crucial, contributing 73.34% to achieve superior surface quality (surface roughness) and 85.47% for prolonged tool life (Tool Wear Rate). All cutting factors (spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut) significantly impacted Material Removal Rate (MRR), showing their importance in maximizing productivity. This exploration underscores the pivotal role of spindle speed in surface quality and tool life, delineates optimal parameters for different outcomes, and emphasizes the multifaceted impact of cutting conditions on machining effectiveness for EN-24 alloy steel.
The exploration of epoxy matrix-based composites reinforced with jute and glass fibers in a dedicated book signifies a crucial advancement in composite material science. This book likely delves into the development, fabrication, and characterization of composites using epoxy as the matrix material. By incorporating both jute and glass fibers as reinforcements, it explores a novel approach to composite design. By understanding the composite's behavior under different conditions, it could pave the way for applications in industries ranging from automotive to construction or even biomedical fields. In essence, this book's significance lies in its exploration of a hybrid composite material that leverages the strengths of both jute and glass fibers within an epoxy matrix. This exploration can lead to advancements in material science, offering a broader spectrum of materials for various industries while considering environmental impact and sustainability.
Drought is the most important limiting factor for crop production and is becoming an increasingly severe problem in many regions of the world. In addition to the complexity of drought itself plant¿s behavioural responses to drought are complex and different mechanisms are adopted by plant when it encounters drought. Incorporation of Trichoderma in many cereals has been found to improve drought response. Therefore, in this book authors have tried to underpin the mechanisms underlying Trichoderma induced drought tolerance in crop plants. This book covers the bene¿cial activities attributed to Trichoderma-plant interactions includes induced disease resistance, plant growth promotion and tolerance to drought stress. Mechanisms involved in the alteration of drought response by Trichoderma include drought avoidance through morphological, physiological and biochemical adaptations and enhanced drought recovery. The present book provides relevant information to students, scientists, planners, administrators, practitioners and farmers with latest pertinent references and can act as a valuable source for filling the gap that is prevailing in the knowhow of mechanism of drought tolerance.
