My White Friend Doesn't Believe In Systemic Racism

Om My White Friend Doesn't Believe In Systemic Racism

This book elaborates on a conversation with my friend of over 11 years. We never discussed racism in much detail until 2020. After that conversation took place, which spanned over several months, views came out that changed the course of our relationship forever. The piece is broken down into five parts: Part 1: My White Friend Doesn't Believe In Systemic Racism-And Here Is ONE of the Texts I Sent HerPart 2: My White Friend Doesn't Believe In Systemic Racism-What's happened since our text conversationPart 3: I Lost My Friend of 11 Years to a Conversation About RacePart 4: The Racial Wealth Gap In AmericaPart 5: Documentary of the Week13th @ Netflix Topics Include: The evolution of slaveryThe racial wealth gapLaw EnforcementSubprime LoansDocumentariesReparationsRed LiningEducationLynchingPolitics Brief Context One of my close friends and I recently started chatting about racism and equality after all of the events in 2020. What bothers me about her opinions and information is that she gets them from only white people or "Candace Owens." Furthermore, she does not have any Black friends (except one other she told me about); hence, I know that she will never truly understand what many Black people go through because her circle is limited to primarily privileged white people. We've been on the topic of systemic racism for a while now, and I want to understand her POV. You might ask me why I'm still friends with her. Well, I like to give people a chance. I also want to help her understand systemic racism from a person of color because I'm probably one of the few people who will ever take the time to do this due to her limited and exclusive circle.
