Om Studies on Cestode Parasites of Marine Fishes from East-Coast of India
Keeping in mind the economical value and importance of human survival through fishes, the author was keen to study the cestode parasites of fishes. The major collection was done at waltair. Kakinada and dumalpetha. The whole work has been carried out of the cestode parasites of the orders. Tetraphylidea, Trypanorhyncha and Lecanocephalidea. They belong to the families, Phyllobothridea, Onchobothridae, Gymnorhynchidae, Lecanicephalidae and Adelobothridae. The species of the genera included in this work are phyllobothrium, Acanthobothrium, Gymnorhynchus. Tylocephalum, Adelobothrium and Carpobothrium. The different aspects of one species of Phyllobothrium one species of Acanthobothrium, one species of Gymnorhynchidae, one species of Carpobothrium, four species of Tylocephalum, two species of polypocephalus and two species of Adelobothrium. The different physiological aspects of some species of few genera are also carried out.
