    Nachhaltigkeit im Tourismus erfordert immer auch ein Besuchermanagement, das auf Kapazitätsgrenzen und qualitativ tolerierbare Besucherdichten Rücksicht nimmt. Ein erster Schritt dabei sind datenbasierte Besucherstromanalysen. Langfristiges Ziel ist die Entwicklung von evidenzbasierten Maßnahmen zur Besucherlenkung, die sich nicht nur an einzelnen subjektiven Eindrücken orientieren, sondern mit einer fundierten und validen Datenbasis begründet werden können. Auf diese Weise sollen Besucherlenkungsmaßnahmen wirklich dort ansetzen, wo es ohne Interventionen zu unerwünschten Effekten kommt.
