La vida de José Gregorio El Gato Briceño y su ascendente carrera política en Venezuela que comenzó como dirigente Nacional Juvenil de Acción Democrática, su expulsión del partido, fundador del Movimiento Independiente del municipio Cedeño (MIC) que lo catapultó como alcalde (1993-1999), fundador del partido MIGATO, con el cual fue electo diputado al Congreso Nacional (1998), diputado a la Asamblea Nacional (1999), Constituyentista corredactor de la Constitución Nacional vigente (2000) y gobernador del estado Monagas, Venezuela (2004-2008/ 2008-2012).Esta investigación se fundamenta en entrevistas al protagonista de esta historia y revisión de archivos hemerográficos donde encontramos las huellas del acoso gubernamental desencadenado por la forma como manejó el derrame petrolero sobre el rio Guarapiche el 4 de febrero de 2012 cuando desobedeció la orden del presidente Hugo Chávez de mandar agua (que según los estudios estaba contaminada) al pueblo de Maturín, lo que desató la furia del presidente y originó el inclemente hostigamiento que incluyó su expulsión del PSUV, un intento de asesinato, eliminación de su partido MIGATO, allanamientos a las instituciones de la gobernación, un golpe de Estado por parte del comandante de la policía que desconoció al gobernador como su inmediato superior en la cadena de mando, allanamientos a casas de alcaldes, concejales, diputados y funcionarios afines al Gato Briceño, cierre de emisoras de radio y periódicos que daban cabida a informar su gestión, allanamientos a casas de familiares, invasión y desvalijamiento de la finca de la familia Torrealba con más de 120 años de propiedad, amenazas constantes de muerte y falsas acusaciones que encontraban su acomodo en algunas instituciones, saboteo constante a su campaña de reelección, y todo cuanto pudieron hacer para que renunciara, pero no lo hizo y se mantuvo hasta el último día de su período como gobernador. Cuando perdió las elecciones consideró que su vida corría peligro y salió del país hacia Costa Rica en calidad de refugiado. Luego marchó a España, país que le otorgó la ciudadanía. "Cave Camp" is the story of a young boy who attends a Christian camp owned by his ornery great uncle whom he meets for the first time. The church camp is run that week by the Women's Christian Temperance Union whose focus is on the evils of drinking alcohol and smoking. The main feature of this camp is Porter's Cave, a magnificent and dangerous natural wonder in the heart of Indiana. The boy also stays with his great aunt and great uncle and experiences interesting contradictions from what he is being taught at the camp and what he learns from his great uncle. After church camp is over, the boy camps with a young uncle and a cousin at the property where he experiences the adventures of exploring the cave, a stone quarry, swimming in a natural pool, and swinging on vines and the anguish of a terrible case of poison ivy. There is fun, adventure and suffering during his time there which he never forgets. Years later, when the boy is a middle aged man, he tries to go back and relive his experiences with his own son. There is elation and disappointment in this memorable story as the reader is led back to a distant time and place for a one of a kind experience.

This is my life story. From growing up in a small Oklahoma town, to playing music on the road in Texas, Oklahoma, Chicago and other Illinois towns, Wichita, Kansas and Missouri. Inspired by Roger Tory Peterson and James Fisher's book Wild America, recent high school graduate M. Ralph Browning embarked on a tightly budgeted, year-long trip in the US looking for birds. In each case it will be the receiver, in the first place, and the subject what mark the way in which the epistle is to be written.The fact of choosing this literary form is a challenge in itself, if one takes into account the number of epistles already published by famous authors, from Saint Paul, Petrarch or Montesquieu, to Benito Pérez Galdós or Franz Kafka.
