The car is such an integral part of American culture that it has shaped our largest cities, inspired our best songs, played leading roles in films and books, and when it comes right down to it, has guided the American soul. Over the course of a half a century, Winter captured the American-ness of the car but, intriguingly, he also found a more global spirit, with pictures from Spain, Italy, China, etc. Winter's photographs feature the cars as well as the people in them, on them, and around them. This new selection of Joan Leigh Fermor's photographs is to show what caught the eye of an artist whose interest in what she saw and photographed was outward, and never filtered through a self-referencing lens nor constrained by censorship and market forces. The selection of photographs - as with the previous book, The Photographs of Joan Leigh Fermor: Artist and Lover - is personal and are those which evoke a sense of place and time, and leave - as Joan did - many things unsaid. The 2018 Exhibition of Joan's photographs at the Benaki Museum achieved exactly what we wanted - in the beauty and detail that could be seen in the larger photographs, and by creating a space of calm with a flow of movement.

The series MUSA consists of twenty-six works of UV printed photographs on brass. The works are divided into three sizes which measure 150 x 200, 37,5 x 50 and 80 x 100 cm. The photographs for these works have been taken at various greenhouses in Morocco, which harvest Banana Trees. On the images we see abstract impressions of green and yellow leaves pressed against the plastic sheeting of the greenhouses. On top of that we see strips of copper wiring that keep the plastic sheets in position. It is the first series of images in Vanoverberghe's work that solely puts the focus on the natural aspect of our surroundings.  The work is a continuation in Vanoverberghe's research to the material in which he presents his photographs.

This publication features a series of photographs taken during a cycle trip from Paris to Stockholm in order to explore and experience the architecture of abbeys built by Hans van der Laan. Carried out during the month of August 2019, the tour also allowed for the exploration of individual and collective housing in northern Europe. Its aim is to contribute to our architectural culture and to constitute a set of references.

While based in New York, London and Paris, American photographer Sean Thomas constantly travels and photographs around the world. His images for fashion magazines are ephemeral by nature. He thus decided to collect them in a yearbook, where each year he gathers unpublished images, various shootings, and personal works - the personal diary of a fashion photographer who likes to tell stories. Sean Thomas was born in 1970 in Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska. He studied art initially before moving to New York in 2000 where he began working as creative director for the record label Rykodisc before joining Warner Music. He thus had the opportunity to work with pop icons like David Bowie and Elvis Costello, groups including the Talking Head and more. After about ten years in the music industry, Thomas turned to photography. His first series for the magazine i-D in 2008 captured the early menswear creations of the young fashion designer Thom Browne. The creative director Nathaniel Kilcer, one of Thomas's close friends, introduced him to Bruce Weber. In 2013, Here and Beyond: A Nebraska Story, a 42-page photographic series by Thomas in three parts, was featured in All-American, the journal published by Weber. Thomas likes to tell stories, whether real or imagined, and enjoys combining fashion and reporting in his commissions for American and British Vogue, Holiday, Self Service, L'Étiquette, Modern Weekly and Vanity Fair, among other publications. Between his frequent trips, all giving rise to extensive portfolios of images from Central and South America to Cuba, Ethiopia and India, he works for leading fashion labels such as Ralph Lauren, Massimo Dutti, Tommy Hilfiger, Chloé, Stella McCartney, Michael Kors and Victoria's Secret.

The latest works by the renowned Mexican photographerAdrian Burns is a Mexican photographer who trained at the prestigious Putney School and Parsons School of Design, where he studied art history and photography. Multi Multi - Photoworks Annual 31 is a look at image reproduction, which argues that the ability to multiply images is an intrinsic aspect of photography thrown into sharp relief by digital imaging, and AI-generated content. 15th June 1996, the IRA detonated a 3300lb lorry bomb on Corporation Street, city centre Manchester. The vernacular photography of this edition - presented here as facsimile versions of the original prints - were discovered by Nirvana Heire during the electrical decommissioning of the Rylands Building, Market Street, Manchester in November 2022.

Art meets architecture: Bettina Cohnen brings together East and West as well as combining a photo essay and photographic art in ''Duett der Moderne''. In her photo series, she shows people in the famous post-war Berlin neighbourhoods of Karl-Marx-Allee and the Hansaviertel in their surroundings, with all their complexity and intimacy. At the same time, she traces the idea behind the respective architecture. After all, the essential concern of modernist architects was good and affordable housing for everyone. This applied as from 1950 to the planning of the 'Sozialistische Straße' and later Karl-Marx-Allee in East Berlin as well as to the new Hansaviertel in West Berlin in 1957. Today, the rivalry between the systems has turned into a duet: a duo uniting East and West. The catalogue for the exhibition ''Duett der Moderne'' combines photo essay and photographic art, the mediation of architectural culture, and the living history of monuments. Robert Frank was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1924. He spent most of his adult life living between New York City and Nova Scotia, Canada, where he died in 2019. Frank was a photographer and filmmaker best known for his groundbreaking monograph The Americans (1958). Over his decades-long career, Frank captured the complexities of contemporary life with a distinct style and poetic insight.
