Bøker i Chronica monasterii S. Albani 7 volume Set-serien

This medieval text records events in Britain and Europe during the first half of the fifteenth century. Published in two volumes in 1870-1, it is full of fascinating details, and features occasional verse by the abbot of St Albans. The text is in Latin, with an English introduction and side-notes.

Thomas Walsingham (c.1340-c.1422) dedicated this history of England from the ninth to the fifteenth century to Henry V, shortly after his reconquest of Normandy ('Neustria') in 1419. This edition by Henry Thomas Riley (1816-78), with an English introduction and side-notes, appeared in 1876.
