Thereby, this work seeks to contribute to the broader debate around technology diffusion and public private partnerships. Beyond academia, policy makers can use the findings to design regulations for renewable energy investments.

The author considers the use of clean technologies, especially electronic mobility, from the perspective of the empirical capital market. In addition to a comprehensive literature review, the book offers a new perspective on changing value chains and resulting raw material scarcities as well as an assessment of the industry's innovation development.

Private investments into companies, projects and infrastructure based on low-carbon innovations are required to mitigate climate change. This book analyses (financial) barriers to low-carbon innovation. Examples of structures and policy mechanisms that address these barriers and consequently mobilise private finance are being highlighted.
