This book presents recent research on interactive collaborative learning. We are currently witnessing a significant transformation in the development of education and especially post-secondary education. To face these challenges, higher education has to find innovative ways to quickly respond to these new needs. On the one hand, there is a pressure by the new situation in regard to the COVID pandemic. On the other hand, the methods and organizational forms of teaching and learning at higher educational institutions have changed rapidly in recent months. Scientifically based statements as well as excellent experiences (best practice) are absolutely necessary. These were the aims connected with the 24th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL2021), which was held online by Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, on 22–24 September 2021.Since its beginning in 1998, this conference is devoted to new approaches in learning with a focus on collaborative learning in Higher Education. Nowadays, the ICL conferences are a forum of the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences in Learning and Engineering Pedagogy. In this way, we try to bridge the gap between ‘pure’ scientific research and the everyday work of educators. This book contains papers in the fields of Teaching Best Practices Research in Engineering Pedagogy Engineering Pedagogy Education Entrepreneurship in Engineering Education Project-Based Learning Virtual and Augmented Learning Immersive Learning in Healthcare and Medical Education. Interested readership includes policymakers, academics, educators, researchers in pedagogy and learning theory, schoolteachers, learning industry, further and continuing education lecturers, etc

By presenting international research on the issues of the Smart Nations concept, this book includes topics such as smart business in a "smart city", digital marketing systems and Smart Nations phenomenon: social and business aspects.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the XVI Multidisciplinary International Congress on Science and Technology (CIT 2021), held in Quito, Ecuador, on June 14-18, 2021, proudly organized by Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE in collaboration with GDEON.
The book "Advances in Information and Communication Networks - Proceedings of the 2022 Future of Information and Communication Conference (FICC)" aims in presenting the latest research advances, sharing expert knowledge and exchanging ideas with the common goal of shaping the future of Information and Communication.
This book introduces numerical methods for processing datasets which may be of any form, illustrating adequately computational resolution of environmental alongside the use of open source libraries. The adoption of various numerical methods in dataset treatment would certainly create a new scientific approach.
New technologies provide us with new opportunities to create new learning experiences, leveraging research from a variety of disciplines along with imagination and creativity. The Learning Ideas Conference was created to bring researchers, practitioners, and others together to discuss, innovate, and create. The Learning Ideas Conference 2022 was the 15th annual conference and was the first time the conference was held as a hybrid event. The conference took place from June 15 to 17, 2022, both in New York and online, and included two special tracks: The Adaptive Learning via Interactive, Collaborative and Emotional Approaches (ALICE) Special Track and a track on Inclusive Learning.Topics covered in this book include, among others, online learning methodologies, diversity and inclusion in learning, case studies in university and corporate settings, new technologies in learning (such as virtual reality, augmented reality, holograms, and artificial intelligence),adaptive learning, and project-based learning. The papers included in this book are of interest to researchers in pedagogy and learning theory, university faculty members and administrators, learning and development specialists, user experience designers, and others.

It also offers an excellent source of innovative ideas to stimulate future discussions and developments aimed at applying knowledge and techniques to optimize system performance, while at the same time promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals. The proceedings includes papers from researchers and practitioners, scientists and physicians, institutional leaders, managers, and policy makers that contribute to constructing the human factors and ergonomics approach across a variety of methodologies, domains, and productive sectors.
This book unfolds ways to transform data into innovative solutions perceived as new remarkable and meaningful value. It offers practical views of the concepts and techniques readers need to get the most out of their large-scale research and data mining projects. It strides them through the data-analytical thinking, circumvents the difficulty in deciphering complex data systems and obtaining commercialization value from the data. Also known as data-driven science, soft computing and data mining disciplines cover a broad spectrum, an interdisciplinary field of scientific methods and processes. The book, Recent Advances in Soft Computing and Data Mining, delivers sufficient knowledge to tackle a wide range of issues seen in complex systems. This is done by exploring a vast combination of practices and applications by incorporating these two domains. To thrive in these data-driven ecosystems, researchers, data analysts, and practitioners must choose the best design to approach the problem with the most efficient tools and techniques. To thrive in these data-driven ecosystems, researchers, data analysts, and practitioners must understand the design choice and options of these approaches, thus to better appreciate the concepts, tools, and techniques used.
