Spillover is a process taking place during the interface of gas reactant molecules (mainly hydrogen and oxygen) on solid surfaces. This title collects the papers which were presented at the Fifth International Conference Spillover, either as oral or poster contributions, as well as the summaries of the invited lectures.
Spectroscopic techniques continue to be essential in the understanding of catalyst performance. The chapters in this book describe the use of 27Al, 29Si and 13C NMR to study variation in FCC acidity during aging and coke deposition. In addition, several chapters covers the modeling of FCC deactivation, and contact times on FCC performance.
This book concentrates on industrially relevant reactions which are catalyzed by heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. Homogeneous catalysis by metal complexes is treated jointly with heterogeneous catalysis using metallic and non-metallic solids.
Includes papers presented at the 2nd International Workshop on Oxide-based Systems at the Crossroads of Chemistry, held at Villa Olmo in Como, Italy, 8-11 October. This title presents the highlights of research in the field of oxide structure. It also includes papers which show the mutual roles of experiment and theoretical models.
Provides an explanation of the basic principles and terminology that are required to understand the application of Fischer Tropsch (FT) technology. This book focuses on theory and application, and is a contemporary reference source for students studying chemistry and chemical engineering.
The First Asian Polyolefin Workshop introduces the developments and the research activities on polyolefin technology in Asia. This book includes contributions by almost all the distinguished scientists in Asian countries. It contains papers not only from academia but also from industry.
Provides examples of MMS based catalysts of many types such as acid-base solids, supported metals and supported oxides, mixed oxides, anchored complexes and clusters, grafted organic functional groups and others. Examples of all these developments are documented in the proceedings including some proposals.
Covers topics which highlight the salient features of nanocrystalline semiconductor materials. This book provides synthetic strategies to generate ultrasmall particles, films and wires. It describes the characterization methodologies of a large number of nanomaterials from the molecular level to the long-range crystallographic ordering.
In order to provide opportunity for crossfertilization the Federation of European Zeolite Associations (FEZA) decided to organise a conference, where researchers from academia and industry can meet, exchange ideas, show and discuss research efforts and results concerning the development of environmentally friendly processes and technologies.
The first symposium on Access in Nanoporous Materials was held in 1995. Since then, impressive progress has been achieved in the area of novel self-assembled mesoporous materials, their synthesis, characterization and applications. This volume contains papers which were delivered at the symposium held in 2000.
Focuses on the purpose of the conference to discuss the results of developments and prospect in science and technology of the field. This book covers the key issues and materials related to the conference such as: molecular assemblies in solutions; fine particles and colloidal dispersions; supramolecular organized films; and more.
Covers the proceedings of the VIIth International Symposium on the Scientific Bases for the Preparation of Heterogeneous Catalysts.
The symposium 'Reaction Kinetics and the Development of Catalytic Processes' is the continuation of the very successful International Symposium "Dynamics of Surfaces and Reaction Kinetics in Heterogeneous Catalysis", held in September 1997 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Covers a broad range of topics like fundamental aspects of surface chemistry, in particular dynamics and spillover, the modeling of reaction mechanisms, with a focus on the importance of transient experimentation and the application of kinetics in reactor design. This book represents fundamental and applied kinetic studies.
Contains manuscripts describing the scientific and technological advances presented at the 6th Natural Gas Conversion Sumposium held in Alaska in June 2001.
A review of new zeolites, related microporous materials and composites that act as molecular sieves. This volume covers their applications, the testing of new processes and techniques and outlines promising laboratory results that could lead to further applications.
