Bøker i Tayma': Multidisciplinary Series on the Results of the Saudi-German Archaeological Project-serien

This is the first of a series of books reporting on a Saudi-German archaeological project at Tayma'; the current archaeological exploration of the oasis is contextualised with previous and ongoing research within the region, while offering a first overview of the settlement history of the site, possibly starting more than 6000 years ago.

The Catalogue contains all inscriptions discovered during 24 seasons of Saudi-German excavations at Tayma', 2004-15. The 113 objects carry inscriptions in different languages and scripts, including Babylonian cuneiform, Imperial Aramaic inscriptions, Arabic inscriptions and more, illustrating the linguistic diversity of the oasis through time.
