I always thought my biological father was a scumbag criminal, too busy selling illicit drugs to take care of his only daughter. The truth, as it turns out, is ten times worse-he's a literal monster and he's taken my family hostage. Now, he's sending me to Southeastern University for the Magically Gifted, which is basically hell, high school, and a country club all rolled into one. He wants me to manifest my hidden powers, or something of that nature. But my powers are really good at hiding. As if being the only human at a school for the supernatural weren't bad enough, try being framed for murder, targeted by cultists (again!), and getting mixed signals from a totally hot but emotionally unavailable guy. Okay, maybe the last one isn't so bad.... All I know is, at the end of the day, I have to do anything I can to free my family and defeat Astaroth. Or die trying. But I'd prefer to avoid the latter option if possible. For fans of adventure-packed paranormal romance novels set in magical schools, featuring sarcastic heroines, supernatural peril, and slow-burn romance, this book is a must-read.
Being a time traveler isn't all it's cracked up to be. After one semester of college, I'm ready for a break. But as much as I'd like to take some 'me' time and relax, there's no rest for the wicked. Which is exactly what I am: Wicked. Clearly I'm smart, too, because instead of going to the therapy sessions I obviously need, I've taken a trip to the past. At least I have some sort of goal, now. To kill Astaroth, and maybe my father too, I need the Divinities Sword. I was expecting a quick fetch quest, but instead, I've found myself caught in the middle of a political conflict between elves and fairies. You'd think I'd be flattered when the elf prince promises to protect me, but instead, I'm horrified. Because I'm the reason he dies in the future. To prevent that, I should push him away...even when every minute we spend together has me falling more in love with him. For fans of adventure-packed paranormal romance novels set in magical schools, featuring sarcastic heroines, supernatural peril, and slow-burn romance, this book is a must-read.
Returning to Southeastern is nothing short of a nightmare-and at this point, I'm an expert on those. My half-sister and cousin hate me, which is fantastic since we're living together on campus. Rhys is here too, but he's giving me the cold shoulder as of late. Not even the Divinities Sword is sharp enough to cut through the awkwardness at home. School isn't so great, either. I have the sword to defeat Astaroth, but without any allies, it looks like I'm going to be facing him alone...and signing my death warrant. To make matters worse, a deadly plague is spreading through the Veil, turning beastbloods into savage monsters. All in all, it's shaping up to be a horrible semester. Amidst all the chaos, Neil is lying to me about who I really am. He's got big plans for me, and they're more sinister than I could have ever imagined. But to gain enough power to defeat him, I'll need to play directly into his hands. It's a dangerous gamble, but I have no other choice. With supernatural threats around every corner and secrets lurking in every shadow, I'll have to be clever, cunning, and above all, brave, if I want to survive. Maybe then, I can finally return home.
The fate of the world rests in the hands of a time traveler and a washed-up high school prom queen. With that kind of team, we might as well start saying our goodbyes, shouldn't we? Chaos reigns supreme as my world is turned upside down by Neil's bombshell revelation: I'm the Timekeeper's Daughter, born to be a doomsday device for magical snakes. Just as I'm trying to wrap my head around that, Neil disappears, using his minions to launch a series of attacks on me and my allies. Nic has gone rogue, trying to punish me for being born. And Astaroth has gone on a rampage, sending his army of cultists and zombies after me. Can't a girl catch a break? To make matters worse, the Timekeepers are pressuring me to submit to their will, with the fate of my family hanging in the balance. With enemies coming at me from all sides, I'm starting to feel like I'm the star of my own personal horror movie. My only hope is the most vapid cheerleader on the face of the planet, but she's been stripped of the one power that could save us all. Together, we'll take on the forces of evil threatening our world and hopefully come out on top. And if not, well, at least we'll have some good stories to tell in the afterlife. In this thrilling conclusion to the Timekeeper's Daughter series, Mar will discover just how powerful she truly is, and what sacrifices she's willing to make for the greater good. The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance, and it all ends with her.
