He died at the age of 49 in Los Angeles, California in 2018; his death was later ruled an alcohol poisoning. I feel sorry since he died when he was just about to get famous. >This book is a prequel (Chapter 1 to 5) of UnBrokable* series. Don't buy this book only because it looks pretty. Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was a famous English author who wrote Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. He and his wife Catherine married in 1836, when Charles was 24 and she was 21. From then until the time of their divorce 20 years later, Catherine got pregnant and gave birth to 10 children. It shows that Dickens' own childhood had been painful enough already. At the age of 12, and with his father imprisoned for debt, he had gone to work in a shoe factory, pasting labels on jars of shoe polish for a few necessary shillings each week. His parents had eight children and Charles was the second. Although I don't personally expect my daughter would be a good money maker, which is perfectly fine with me, it seems Dickens had thought differently. Unfortunately, none of his children turned out to be a famous writer like him and he officially lamented that, "having brought up the largest family ever known with the smallest disposition to do anything for themselves." In other words, he had to pay everything for his children until he passed away. It shows that Dickens grew unhappy about his marriage with Catherine, eventually. The record shows that he resented the fact that he had so many children to support; somehow, he saw this as his wife Catherine's fault. He did not approve of Catherine's lack of energy and began to indicate that she was not nor had ever been his intellectual equal. In June 1858, Charles and Catherine filed for divorce, which was rare then, and he started seeing a new woman named Ellen Turnan. >Don't buy this book only because it looks pretty: It can seriously help you financially. I was sitting on the Ferrari Modena in Miami beach, Florida in May, 2003. You can see my photo in the prologue of UnBrokable*. Now I don't even have a car at all since 2017. What did happen? Maybe this book is not for a super-rich person. Maybe it's not even for wealthy, middle-class or mildly poor people. I have been in a desperately poor situation myself before; I couldn't even waste a single cent for years. Luckily, my wealthy parents saved me a couple of times. I know that not everyone has been as lucky as I was. This book is for them: Unlucky people who have no idea or hope to get out of poverty or brokeness. We will see what situation I had been in and how I got out of there throughout this series. I believe being wealthy is a combination of millions of small skills, know-hows and ideas: We need a bit of luck, too. On the contrary, I think being poor can happen only because of a couple of nasty mistakes. I guess it won't hurt to check out the examples of bad things to cause poverty in our real lives. What does make a person poor? These are the 3rd set of 10 Reasons.21. Spending Too Much on Pets22. Being Unnecessarily Busy23. Eating Too Much24. Approaching Too Many Women25. Not Living Long Enough26. Not Having Strong Opinions 27. Living Recklessly28. Preventable Medical Problems29. Unnecessary Legal Problems30. Talking Too Much
