This anthology explores the welfare systems of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Its 14 contributors seek to examine how these systems operate at street-level: that is, at those sites where professional helpers encounter persons seeking help, financial assistance and other welfare services.

The issue of child sex abuse has gained widespread attention over the last three decades, but minimal attention has been paid to sexual abuse by women. In this book Myriam Denov aims to fill these critical gaps in the literature.
