Grandma is impulsive, bossy and badly dressed, with a passion for brightly coloured cowboy boots. She gets the wrong end of any stick and stumbles unwittingly into magical adventures. Her cynical sidekick, Gertrude the cat, gets dragged into all of Grandma''s scrapes whether she likes it or not. In this snowy adventure Grandma mistakes Santa for a burglar and is taken, along with Gertrude, on a thrilling airborne ride. Grandma''s dreadful jokes are no match for the jolly-faced man, who somehow knows all the answers. How does he do it? The penny finally drops when Grandma realises that horses don''t have antlers. Gertrude is very brave when she is sent on a daring mission by Father Christmas, and succeeds in a very special delivery for a little girl. Gertrude and Grandma find a wonderful surprise awaiting them when they get home. But how did that happen?
Grandma is super-excited to win a competition to learn to ski in snowy Switzerland and takes Gertrude the cat with her. Disaster strikes when one of them takes a death-defying leap down the mountainside and ends up upside-down at the bottom. But which one of them is it? Why is absolutely no-one laughing at Grandma's jokes? And can cats REALLY ski?
Grandma is fascinated by the Kings and Queens of England, but a day-trip to Windsor Royal Park has unexpected and perilous consequences when she and Gertrude travel back in time. Will they escape with their heads still attached? Find out who wants to marry Grandma, and why she runs for her life!
