A young woman who grew up in Spain escapes to the New World to stop a wicked Spanish prince from waging a brutal slaughter of native people. Once there, she discovers it is her true homeland, and realizes that she possesses extraordinary powers as the chosen warrior of her tribe.  A conquistador, Francisco Cortes, interrupts a ritual in the jungles of South America and encounters the powerful Goddess – Pachamama. Back in Spain years later, his young daughter, Aluna, would rather spend her time fencing with her friend Antonio than take dancing lessons. When Francisco gives Aluna a strange green gemstone, she discovers that she has supernatural strength. But is this a blessing or a curse? After ten years away, Aluna returns home a grown woman. She reconnects with Antonio, though he is now to marry another woman. Aluna's old adversary - Miguel di Batista - has returned from the New World, bringing with him a cargo of slaves. Miguel has one of the old women burned as a witch. But the old woman wears a green gem similar to the one Aluna once wore and a strange connection is made between the woman and Aluna. Miguel notices the gem as well, recognizes the power it contains, and decides he wants one for himself.

With the help of Antonio and Qiang, Aluna escapes Spain and sails off to the New World to save her father. While on the ship, Qiang trains Aluna and prepares her for the battle ahead. But her travels wouldn't go under the radar, her energy awakens the evil witch doctor Nagaric and tips him off to her Journey. He is more than happy to help her reach the New World faster by the use of his black magic.

Miguel has kidnapped Aluna's father and had her branded a witch. With help from her remaining friends, Aluna must find a way to escape Spain and chase Miguel to the New World to rescue her father. But not before Qiang reveals secrets to her past and her father's conquest in the New World all those years past.
