Where Are My Teeth?/¿Dónde Están Mis Dientes? explains the topic of teething to young children and parents. What do babies, toddlers, and young children think is going on with their teeth? A retired teacher answers the questions we all have in a way that's both helpful and entertaining. When we're born, we don't have any teeth showing in our mouths. But the teeth are already in place, just hidden below the jawline until they're ready to come out.Baby teeth begin to come in between six to twelve months, with some babies experiencing their first tooth as early as four to seven months. While teething is a painful and difficult time for both baby and family, especially during the first twelve months, it's a process that we all go through. So let's learn about our teeth, and smile!Ada N. Letelier is a retired early childhood educator. She taught bilingual classes in English and Spanish for most of her teaching years before becoming a principal at two different New York City schools. She believes "multiple literacy" can be achieved by all children, and that learning a second language should be made as easy as possible. For very young children, bilingual books can be the answer, especially when the books deal with topics that all young children can relate to. She has also been a feature writer for the Santiago Times, now closed after twenty-five successful years as Chile's only English language online newspaper. This is her fourth book.Illustrator Antonia Acuña is a Chilean artist who collaborated with the author on her previous three books. She is skillful in creating delightfully entertaining drawings that bring the author's written words to life.
