A story of love and...death."Wow, she's gorgeous!""Mmm, Gilly, I love your kisses.""Happy birthday, Grampa!""Are you here to kill us?""Mommy, is it the end of the world? Dell says that, he says that.""Trixi will save us," Becky says."This brave little dog is my best friend. Do I save her, or does she save me?""You know you're going to have to have to kill. This warm and intriguing story is about Gwendolyn Able, a severely handicapped girl, and her mother. Abandoned by the child's father they overcame the trials and difficulties of her affliction using the power of unstinted and unqualified love. Along the pathway to adulthood they affected the lives of those with whom they came in contact: teachers, coaches and team-mates.It is the author's wish that this tale will help the more fortunate to understand and sympathize with the mentally handicapped, and possibly lend hope to those who must meet similar challenges.
