A published essay entitled Harriet and Friends is also included which highlights God's hand in the healing of a nation and its people. The primer may be read in its entirety, or you may refer to a particular manual. All of the information is related to encountering God, deliverance, inner healing, or physical healing in some way. The information in the manuals includes some of the author's personal healing encounters that occurred through prayers that she offered or received in the name of Jesus Christ. This factual story includes references to additional abolitionist friends or acquaintances who are also part of the network called the Underground Railroad. Her friends are freedmen, enslaved people, Union soldiers, or members of the AME Zion Church.
