  • - A Complete Cookbook of Jewish-Inspired Dish Ideas!
    av Allie Allen

Do you want to learn about Jewish cuisine? Would you like to learn about the influence's others had on this cooking style? Would you enjoy making authentic recipes in your own kitchen? Jewish foods are not easily defined, and they're not all from Israel - not even close. Through the many years, they have eaten various foods, sometimes the same foods as their neighbors, who were Gentiles. But their current foods relate to their geographic location, dietary laws and other requirements of their religion. In the times of the Bible, Jewish cooks used produce like dates, olives, pomegranate, figs, grapes, wheat and barley. They also cooked with meat - usually mutton, and wild plants and legumes. Much of what is cooked at any given time of year is governed by their religious laws. Sephardic dishes are made by Jews who live in India, the Red Sea area, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Northern Africa. They have been influenced somewhat by the cuisine of these areas and they have themselves influenced that cuisine, as well. Ashkenazic Jews, from Russia and Europe, were often quite poor, and the foods they choose reflect that. Many of the foods that Americans call "Jewish", including borscht, knishes and bagels, are foods from Ashkenazic Jewry. Jewish cuisine in Israel has yet to become the recognized national cooking style. Israeli salads, falafel and hummus are eaten in non-Jewish homes in the Arabic world and Mediterranean areas. Kosher foods are eaten mainly by Jewish families, governed by Jewish religious law. Whatever country the recipes come from, Jewish cuisine is interesting, to say the least, and produces some unique and wonderful dishes. Read on and try some of these recipes soon!

Although not as well-known as their pasta, pizza and sweet treats, there are many recipes for soups that come from Italy. What are the differences between soul food dishes and Southern cuisine dishes? Not every Southern dish is soul food, but most soul food dishes are Southern. Where did soul food recipes come from? Soul food was traditionally made and served by African-Americans living in Southern states in the United States. "Soul" refers to the culture of African-Americans. What is soul food, really? Soul food is down-home, basic cooking that has been passed through generations. The types of food used in most soul food dishes include cornmeal, greens, beans and pork. In fact, pork is used in many ways when making soul food dishes, in seasoning stews and vegetables as well as in pickling and dehydrating pork rinds and similar foods. During the years when Africans were enslaved in the United States, they were not given much food to cook with, and what they got was not of high quality or nutritional. They adapted recipes brought by immigrants and added their own ingredients to flavor them as desired. Collard greens and fried chicken are common soul food dishes. You can make authentic soul food yourself. Turn the page and learn more...

Omelets are inexpensive and easy to make, and you can have them any time of day! Originally served mainly as a breakfast dish, omelets are now eaten for lunch, dinner and dessert, too. The meals in Vatican City usually consist of risotto and pasta dishes. They begin with an appetizer or antipasto, then a small-sized first course and the second, or main course. Those courses often are followed by fruits, cheeses or desserts like biscotti or tiramisu. Vatican cuisine has also been influenced to a degree by Arabic, Jewish, Greek and other cultures. What is Argentinian cuisine noted for? Are there plenty of recipes in the country that will interest and entice you? What type of dish is Argentina most famous for? Argentinian cuisine is especially famous for barbecued meats and enormous steaks. Meats are highlighted in many Argentine dishes, and the overall tastes come from the immigrants the world over, as well as some native recipes. Argentinians grow as many vegetables as most other countries with similar climates, but they don't have as many vegetarian dishes. It can be easily solved by including other tastes instead of meats in their popular recipes. Their pasta and pizza dishes are among the naturally vegetarian meals they have to offer. Why does Argentine cuisine focus so much on meat? Feral cattle have long grazed on the pampas grass of Argentina, and meat was thus one of the least expensive sources of food for many years. They had little organized, large-scale agriculture till the 19th century. There are many other flavors I'll cover in this extensive cookbook. Read on, and learn more about how Argentine cuisine can make your dinners more interesting and delicious!
