The cocobunnies are a wild bunch. They have treehouse orgies, booze it up, cuss up a storm, duke it out, swipe things now and then-sounds like humans, right? But as mystical rabbits of the Easter Rabbit Clan, they also work in the secret chocolate cave for Clyde, the Easter rabbit himself, making the world's best chocolate to be delivered to the poor children of Sunnybrook village. But Coby wants recognition, so he leaves Thumper Village for the human world, where he announces to a chocolate store that it is actually he and the cocobunnies who have been making their best-selling chocolates all along, not some boring human. Coby is of course captured and taken to a lab, forcing Clyde and Hopperstopper to face the perils of the human world to rescue him.Once safe, Coby and his wife Caroleen attend the annual treehouse orgy, and six months later, Caroleen gives birth to Juniper, a bunny who grows suspiciously tall and turns transparent the moment he becomes upset. As the ghostly Juniper bares no resemblance whatsoever to any of the rabbits in the entire clan, Coby goes crazy wondering who at the orgy got his wife knocked up. (Or had she gotten knocked up just before the orgy? After?) Coby is determined to find out, and what he finally discovers is something so surprising that he defies its very existence.
When Vextor, a manufactured shape shifter, comes to life onboard a Kestrian space station, he begins leaving his tasks to go play with children and terrorize adults. He is finally trapped and sent on his way to a penal colony on a nearby icy planet. He outsmarts the navigation and heads for Earth instead, shrinking himself so he can land inside a plastic pumpkin on a driveway. A small child brings the pumpkin into the house, and Vextor lives in secret with two children, Freddie and Lydia. But problems arise. He looks like a monkey and can only turn into humans with pink skin and leafy hair. So how is he to fit in? And after tasting his very first candy, he becomes utterly addicted to sweets, tearing through the area and stealing from anywhere he can as an odd assortment of alien creatures. Halloween is in a heap of trouble. Vextor befriends Professor Ben McDilly, whom he visits as the astute yet unusual Sherlock Holmes. The pink Mr. Holmes lets McDilly in on a shocking secret: how the "Vextor KR-II Shape Shifter" came to life. And when Amanda, the children's mother, finally discovers the little ape living in their house, she too is moved by his secret and decides to help him. Amanda and Ben finally meet after being bewitched by Vextor's energy source, and they fall in love. But after the effects wear off, will they feel the same? As Amanda and Ben cope with new feelings, Vextor does away with Freddie's birthday cake during the night. To avenge himself, Freddie tricks him into turning into a dung beetle, and Vextor spends three days in a horse pasture, happily eating a thick and chewy substance. When he realizes what he's been eating, he returns to "teach Freddie a lesson." Tempers collide, and the turning point arrives. Will Vextor finally decide to become a real member of the family? Will he stop abandoning them to steal candy? If so, how will he be able to live among them as a human instead of a monkey? And when a lovely young woman moves in next door, how will he cope with being in love with someone he can never really be with? What Vextor does in the end is nothing anyone can prepare for.
THE SECRET OF THE BASEMENT It's known as the "secret of the basement", that juicy little mystery that has a once-sedate little village bustling with Jack Cravitz mystery parties. And just what is that zany inventor conjuring up in his cellar? Well, they don't call it a secret of nothing! Then one day, Jack stumbles upon a mystery all his own: a ghostly archway that suddenly appears on the brick wall of his basement lab. Dying to find out where it leads, he dives on through only to find himself standing right back inside his very own basement! Or is he? Shocking as it seems, Jack has discovered a parallel dimension, where he is nabbed and replaced in his own world by his evil twin, a renowned brainwasher. Joining him from the evil world is Devilia Fudoolahoot, ex-wildcat girlfriend and high fashion model of "homicidal clothing". Together they conduct a bold experiment, using a sinister mind-altering device. Evil Jack invites his "subjects" to the village hall to attend the unveiling of a new invention, and in they pour, hoping he will finally reveal the famous secret. Instead, he blasts them with a potent dose of evil. Moments later, they tear through the downtown, clawing down ornaments and beating the tar out of that revolting "Frosty the snow-jerk". Dark-Christmas festivities continue as they run amuck in ghoulish garb and tumble about in green slime wrestling matches. Jack is thrilled with the chaos, but neither he nor Devilia foresee the clever resistance that is being plotted by a gritty group of villagers, bent on reviving their traditional Christmas. Neither do they begin to imagine the cascade of comical consequences that await those who meddle with another world.
