"Incy-Wincy" takes the well-known poem, "Incy-Wincy spider climbing up the spout" and describe how the spider faces many challenges and failures but carries on despite them. It describes how she balloons on her spun silk and lands in a garden far away. There she builds her web and home but faces many dangers including being eaten by a bird and being swept away by enthusiastic cleaning. Eventually she lays her own eggs and watches with pride as a host of spiderling begin their journeys.
"Wayne Goes Wild" tells the story of a wasp who had been famous when he saved hundreds of his pollinating friends being killed by a crop sprayer. He had flown into the cab and attacked the driver making him stop and leave his machine. His fame had not lasted so Wayne goes on the television show "Get Me Out Of Here" to remind everyone of his famous heroics. Things do not go very well for Wayne and he starts behaving very badly and gets into a lot of trouble. He eventually learns that there are more important things than being a famous celebrity.
"WILFRED, the worm who would not wriggle" is a children's story of a worm who becomes too scared to wriggle until he learns how important worms are in nature.
A story for 6 - 11 year olds which tells the struggle of a bumble bee to save her family and friends from the effects of starvation and chemicals and her astonishing eventual success. It is both entertaining and educational.
