Growing up I watched the women in my family struggle with their hairy moustache's, spontaneous hair growths on their bodies and irregular menstrual cycles. Somehow I never connected the dots that it meant I was headed down the same path. This book is a short story about my life as an adult living with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome/Disorder). I went from being told I would never be able to conceive a child to having four children. My journey is not only exceptional, but achievable. No two women who suffer from PCOS have the same journey, beginnings, middles or ends, but we do all share a very long list of commonalities in physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. This story is about me and my crazy moustache.
Not many people recognize deterioration as a change in human beings until the person is old. Deterioration and change begins when we are born. They are also not negative connotations if followed by evolution and growth. Even in death, we evolve. Not all change needs be met by death to see things anew. Life is a journey along time and not all time is linear. This collection of short stories is an exploration navigating the human existence and inevitable evolution.
