Walter the baker-and sea dog-is back for another adventure. His old friend Big Boris is in trouble and hiding from angry villagers. They think he sank one of the village fishing boats. But with help from a merpup named Mira, Walter is able to steer villagers to the real culprit-the sea dragon-and clear Boris's name.

Walter longs to be a sea dog. He comes from a long line of sea dogs, all of whom made their livelihoods from the sea, but, alas, Walter's talent seems to extend only to baking. He sells his baked goods, made from his mother's classic recipes in the village tea shop. But Walter's life is upended when an unfortunate incident brings him face to face with Big Boris and the Sea King. In the end Walter learns important lessons about perseverance and finds his place as a true sea dog.
