The Land Of Kerfuffle is loosely based in part on The Wallypug of Why by G. E. Farrow and can be performed with either nine men and five women, or five men and nine women with optional extras. It is Christmas Eve and Penny has just been visited by the Carol Singers. Suddenly she hears the Snowman in her garden speak and this is the start of a night of magical adventures. The Christmas tree Fairy comes to life. Penny takes the Snowman into her bedroom which is extremely untidy - in fact in a kerfuffle. With the help of the Fairy's wand which is lying there, the room tidies itself up and then Penny is whisked off to the Land of Kerfuffle where she meets various strange animals, a dictatorial Doctor-in-Law, a conceited Minstrel and the lovable, clumsy, downtrodden Great Panjan drum. After a night she will never forget she is magically returned home on Christmas morning but on the spot where the Snowman stood is only a bunch of snowdrops. Her friend has left her forever - or has he?
