"briann - Some Restored Photographs - 1959 - 1970" has been a journey to rescue pieces of the past that are important to me through photographs which have been repaired and preserved - precious pieces of the very early work of some of now leading internationally recognised Australian photographers from the 1960s and 1970s whose work was inadvertently damaged by flooding rain in a Birchgrove, Sydney winter some 40 years ago.The work took over 12 months to do and when it was finished I believed the photographers themselves needed to be recognised and remembered and I thought a little book highlighting their amazing art was the way to go and this was able to be achieved through restoration of part of my archive.

RUNNING THE MONSOON - Medan to Jakarta, Indonesia 1971 is a small momento of a truly memorable journey before the roads and bridges were built and in what was quite possibly the last bus going south before the monsoon. Anyone who did this journey will have it etched in their minds - it was quite unforgettable.
