Ostindonesien, insbesondere Biak, Papua, wurde als Standort für den Bau eines Weltraumbahnhofs ausgewählt. Allerdings steht Indonesien beim Bau des Weltraumbahnhofs in Biak vor Problemen, nämlich der Art der Raumfahrttechnologie, die hochtechnologisch, kostenintensiv und risikoreich ist. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, die Rolle des Weltraumbahnhofs Biak in der öffentlichen Diplomatie Indonesiens herauszufinden und zu analysieren. Das Design dieser Untersuchung ist deskriptiv und qualitativ und wendet die Theorie des Liberalismus, das Konzept der Zusammenarbeit und das Konzept der öffentlichen Diplomatie an.
