Anne Bruun has secured a job as a temporary assistant in the accounts department of a company in Copenhagen. On her last day, the Financial Manager asks her to come to his office with the accounts. He demands her to be his mistress and when she refuses he rapes, beats her, and threatens her into submission. Anne seeks comfort from her friend at the temporary employment agency and together they make plans for getting around his threats.
