Honeycomb Island had all the beauty and splendor that brought tourists from all over the world to visit. Its large Victorian homes with wrap-around porches and the gothic Nottingham window boxes filled with deep red roses, bright yellow daffodils, and soft purple lilacs that from a distance looked more like velvet. From a short distance, residents could watch the thundering waves of ordinate blues as they sparkled against the ocean's cool, salty breezes that brought a feeling to everyone who visited that they were family and Honeycomb Island was home. At least that's how Paisley Ogley and her sister Willa remembered their mom telling her as they returned to the Island, but life wasn't always easy for the Ogley sisters, especially for Paisley. It was hard to believe that more than twenty-five years ago, Paisley had felt that she had lost everything. Her family, her sight, her identity, and her life, but after a breakthrough happened for her, Paisley was able to see and view the world that she longed for as a young child. Now an adult, she was set on achieving her dreams, even if it meant losing her relationship with Dr. Parker Thurnbush, but Paisley never imagined learning a family secret that would change how she looked at life. If anything, it pushed Paisley to reach all that mattered to her with even greater strength.
I Solemnly Swear, shows a new way of reforming leadership in politics and in keeping with the solemn vow taken on oath when entering public office. The need for political reform is a necessary first step to maintaining democracy in our government system. With a new way of thinking and doing business, reform politicians can become leaders that wouldn't compromise their ethics, not even under the prestige of power and politics. Instead, achievement can come out through hard work, commitment, and perseverance as an emerging theme for the United States. Developing reform politicians may seem like unlikely candidates, but sometimes even the most unlikely become some of our greatest leaders.
It was on the quiet shores of Wintervale Island where rare diamonds could be found in its seas. A sign of wealth and power, its sparkle and shine glistened only when it was at its darkest blue. And although it seemed serene, its tranquility was unforgiving to the many wives' tales that gave a glimpse of the people who lived on Wintervale Island. It was here where secrets were kept as treasured jewels, but there was a mysticism to its tree-lined streets of old Maples, whose leaves changed colors depending on the mood of the Island. Its homes were popularly decorated by wind chimes and cool salty breezes. It was soothing and comforting; yet, despite the Island's very wealthy families that lived here, it had simplicity. That was until the elite Blackmore Family took hold of Wintervale Island and young Deidre Blackmore. After marrying Jenson, Deidre Blackmore thought she had found the fairy tale life, only to soon find out that she would be forever trapped in a spiral of wealth and betrayal. It wasn't until she experiences a family tragedy that she finds the courage to leave the Blackmore Family behind, but only if they let her start over again.
