Honeycomb Island had all the beauty and splendor that brought tourists from all over the world to visit. Its large Victorian homes with wrap-around porches and the gothic Nottingham window boxes filled with deep red roses, bright yellow daffodils, and soft purple lilacs that from a distance looked more like velvet. From a short distance, residents could watch the thundering waves of ordinate blues as they sparkled against the ocean's cool, salty breezes that brought a feeling to everyone who visited that they were family and Honeycomb Island was home. Political lies have not only an ethical nature, but it also damages the democratic health of both the people and the politician that represents them. In order for politics to be able to represent the people, it must have the ability to instill confidence in the people. We see that just the opposite is occurring. We call such inner workings a formula to the political salesman or the House of Lies. It is honesty, loyalty, integrity, maintaining excellent behavior, austerity, and the ability to provide service as the basic virtues needed when running for public office.
