A philosophical and meditative consideration of the complexities of ageing, memory, and the drain of urban life, through the pursuit of wellbeing and the restorative powers of nature.
An invitation to join the most important conversation on Earth! The most important conversation on Earth starts with a question. What happens when we die? But it's a conversation many people never have, and there's a simple reason. Instead of death, we should be talking about life, the afterlife. Afterwords was written to make that conversation easier. The voices in it are from everyday people who could be your neighbors, friends, and family members: In other words, people very similar to you. More than 1,100 comments and stories will touch, inspire, amuse, and at times, amaze you. The depth of insight from everyday people in afterwords is a reminder that the afterlife and other eternal questions do not belong just to religions, gurus, or other experts. We each have our own piece of the puzzle, and it's an important one. In whatever way you envision it, putting words to eternity will contribute to your peace of mind here and hereafter. As a bonus, it's a lot of fun! After all, whether we agree or disagree, it's always worth hearing from each other.
If this poetry collection has a theme, it is that of impermanence. Coping with change, temporality and uncertainty is one of our great struggles. We are deluded if we feel our lives are built on rock solid foundations. Despite this we strive to create some little temporary paradise for ourselves and, quite surprisingly, for others.
