"Experience an ""Aha!"" moment with each Sudoku puzzle! When you finish a classic 9x9 puzzle using the digits 1-9, you're done but you're not really satisfied. You want more than just a feeling of mere accomplishment. But in Word Sudoku, you discover the solution word or phrase as you solve the puzzle. You begin with an anagram-a respelling-of the solution. For example, a 9x9 Word Sudoku puzzle could use the nine letters in the anagram I GOT CURLS. When you solve the puzzle, you've spelled out the respelling of that anagram: GIRL SCOUT. Likewise, from the letters in the anagram A RINGLET, you could face five different Word Sudoku puzzles spelling out RELATING, ALTERING, ALERTING, TRIANGLE, and INTEGRAL (not to mention LARGE NIT or RING TALE). This collection of three books in one volume takes this idea further.Every puzzle anagram in each book in this collection shares three letters: JIN, KAY, and LAB, respectively. Since you know this, these letters are missing from each puzzle's anagram in each book! You face a variety of puzzle sizes-not just the classic 9x9. You'll also find the easy 4x4 and 6x6, the unusual 8x8, the difficult 10x10, the devilish 12x12-and the unexpected, even fiendish 5x5 and 7x7 (which you may not have ever encountered before this)! As you work each puzzle using its anagram, you discover the real solution. Aha!

You 're given a five-letter word for each set of puzzles. By first taking away a letter, and later adding a letter, you'll solve a 4x4 and a 6x6 Word Sudoku puzzle. And you'll discover unexpected words hidden within words! Here's the twist: Later in the book, once you're warmed up with those easy 4x4 and 6x6 Sudoku puzzles, you'll face the challenge of solving 5x5 puzzles-each spelling out an anagram of the given 5-letter word. These puzzles don't have rectangular boxes inside; following the Sudoku rules is harder. Are you up to this new challenge? Puzzle completion rules are standard: The hidden word or phrase spells left-to-right and/or top-to-bottom in the shaded squares; and each row, column, and ... 4x4: 2x2 square ...>5x5: enclosed shape ...>6x6: 2x3 rectangle ...>... contains the letters in the word or phrase exactly once. Most of the time, the 300 puzzles in this book are based on words that many of us probably have in our vocabulary. Words may also be common geographical place names and people's names. For harder puzzles, discovering an unknown word is part of the fun! These puzzles don't shy away from obsolete or archaic words. Definitions for each can be found via onelook.com, Google or Wikipedia. Good luck!
