This narrative case study includes three Hispanic females from two grade levels in the same elementary school in a large rural district. All three students did not participate in a gifted program and were part of the underrepresented cultural group that was excluded from being nominated to a gifted program. All three students shared their experiences from their perspective of the same boredom, thought they were smart, and learned from the background without confidence. All three students had a two-parent home with parents that were engaged with the family and kept up with the grading system. The parents, teachers, and students allowed researcher to investigate their perspectives to discuss their experiences through emergent interviews of the underrepresented Hispanic population.
Rett takes you on a journey into Oma's Home to discover what he is learning, reading, doing, and seeing. Rett is a two year old boy who is discovering the world around him and learning what the world has to offer. He loves his family, especially his Oma and his Poppi who are his grandparents. He invites the reader to learn about his family as he learns about them. This book was inspired by Rett and written by his Oma, his grandmother. Come and read with him.
Coordinate graphing with pictures or Cartesian graphing - any way you describe this book, it is still fun! This is the third book in the series of Making Coordinate Graphing Fun. This book is for students, teachers, and anyone who wants to improve their graphing skills. Students will need to solve equations for each plot point in Making Coordinate Graphing Fun: Equations 1. Graphing is fun and some students need a little more practice with equations while other students need a little more assistance with graphing. Accomplish two assignments in one, practice and learning, with Making Coordinate Graphing Fun: Equations 1. Educators, including international educators, have purchased one or more of this series because students, along with the educators, have found this series different, exciting, interesting, differentiated, and educational.
Making Coordinate Graphing Fun 2 is the second in the series. While practicing coordinate graphing skills, you will construct a picture. Practice plotting points with first quadrant graphs and four quadrant graphs while making pictures that you can determine are either correct or have an error. This book has full-size answer key pictures. Students have requested more graphs after my students completed my first book. I have included in this book the letters of the alphabet, numbers from 1-10, favorite activities, Olympic events, and more. I have enjoyed international sales with my first book, Making Coordinate Graphing Fun, which was mainly for teachers. Making Coordinate Graphing Fun 2 is for everyone!
