How would it feel to be utterly...ALONE...When Dave Reynolds wakes up early one Saturday morning, he realises that Laura, his wife, has gone. But she hasn't just gone. She has disappeared. So have all the people on his road, in his town, maybe in the country - possibly in the world. The streets are strewn with crashed cars, and the houses stand silent and empty. How could everyone just disappear overnight? Where could they have gone? Then Dave starts to receive text messages from Laura, telling him that she is in the next town over, begging for help against some mysterious enemy. Drawn forward by the agony of knowing that Laura is in danger, and by his own horrendous loneliness, Dave embarks on a journey into the heart of an inconceivable mystery. A mystery that is composed of empty houses and silent streets: a world where people once were and now are not. A mystery that whispers to him that he is utterly... ALONE...
