A biography of D. J. Williams (1885-1970), the author and prominent member of Plaid Cymru, who is associated with Rhydcymerau and Fishguard. D. J. worked avidly for his country, and he is immortalized as one of the three who set fire to the RAF aerodrome at Penyberth in 1936.

A selection of letters exchanged between DJ Williams, Kate Roberts and Saunders Lewis, which reveal aspects of the literary scene, and the politics of Wales in most of the twentieth century. They are also filled with humour and eloquence.
