An American Storyteller is a collection of Thomas Herber Lindsey's stories. Growing up in my family, I always heard from my father and his uncles about 'Uncle Tom' and his funny stories. My father's favorite story was 'The Major's Story.'By the time I was old enough to care or pay attention, time had taken its toll on my father's memory. One of Tom's playbills was captioned, 'Tom Lindsey - The Man That Can Make You Laugh.' Sometime after my father's passing, I found two of Uncle Tom's notebooks and transcribed them into this book. The stories are captured exactly as they were written.Thomas Herber Lindsey was born in Durham, NC on March 9, 1878, and was the fourth of eight children of John Monroe and Nancy Catherine (Morris) Lindsey. He was a lawyer, teacher, NC Senator, and traveling lecturer. He passed on Oct. 3, 1941, in Wilmington, NC.
The final book of in a series of books about Howard Lindsey. Born in the 50's, a true Baby Boomer. Growing up around great men and women, having a blessed life, but yet with the disappointments and joys that came with his time. This (the sixth) and other books were written for my children and grand children. Especially for those I may never get to see with my mortal eyes. I think about my unborn grand children and beyond. I love them even though they have not been woven in their mother's womb by our gracious Father in heaven.God bless and always remember to live with courage, sacrifice, compassion and humanity.
Born in the 50's, maturing in the 60's and 70's and surviving through 2021 is more than a trip, it is an adventure and only by the grace of God that I made it this far. Every childhood has a unique story. These events and stories of a young man growing up in a very good family. These stories are here for entertainment, remembrance and passing on to my children and grandchildren. Hopefully further.
The fifth, in a series of the life of E. H. Lindsey; from birth to 70 years of age.
A true 'Baby Boomer' outlining the adventures and tears of his life. With the publication of 'Growing Up Lindsey' and 'Still Growing Lindsey' a few details where omitted due to the long life Lindsey has had. So if you want to learn the 'rest of the story' here it is. Enjoy!
This book discusses topics which are lost to time and renews the original intent of the Founding Fathers while the Constitution FOR the United States was being developed. Please read this book with an open mind and above all, verify and question everything that it proclaims. I believe you will find it logical and rational and it makes just plain good sense.
