The standard edition of the Curetonian manuscript, with the Sinai text in the footnotes. One volume contains the Syriac text with facing English translation; the other contains a discussion of the Old Syriac version.

Contains six lectures: early bishops of Edessa, Bible in Syriac, early Syriac theology, marriage and the sacraments, Bardaisan and his disciples, Acts of Judas Thomas, and Hymn of the Soul. They were delivered in 1904 by Burkitt, then lecturer in paleography, at the University of Cambridge.

This 1897 book contains an edition by F. Crawford Burkitt of parts of the text of Aquila's Greek version of the Old Testament discovered in leaves of a manuscript from the Cairo Geniza. It also contains a comparison of Aquila's translation to the Hebrew version and to the Septuagint.
