Volume I records a revised record of the Gould and Talkington lines of the Hope Gould Robinson lineage. Altogether this has been the completion of a thirty-one year project, which has involved many miles of travel, endless correspondence, quests for lost relatives, a reexamination of history, and searches for lost documents and records. The work is still not complete, but it does provide a record that would have been lost in the annals of time. Within these family records are stories upon which some future family writer and historian could produce an epic on the westward movement and the fulfillment of the American dream.
The History of the Robinson Family, Volume II, is a quality, 14 font, 208 page book, which includes over fifty photographs, maps, and, genealogy charts, available to those seeking their own family histories. The color cover of the book shows a tile replica, in relief, of the John S. Robinson family and their covered wagons, as they leave on the Wagon Trail West to California in 1859. The book is not only American history, it is a story that comes alive with the personal remembrances of those who lived the epic times in our nations history, from the founding of America through World War II
