Melicent Unger finds herself alone for Christmas. Her husband, SD, has been admitted to a psychiatric unit after the tragic death of his family in a car accident. She continues working at Girls-n-Grits to keep busy and make ends meet. On these quiet nights, she gets to know some of the patients as well. There are a few that she adores, she learns about their lives. Many of the patients' families live long distances away or no longer have any living family members. When the patients can't sleep, she will play Gin Rummy or Canasta with them, laughing and talking for an hour or two. Melicent plans a guy's night out taking some of the seniors out to Girls-n-Grits for a steak dinner and to see the dancers. The dancers, especially Dana and Marigold, are extra attentive to the older gentlemen giving them complimentary lap dances. The next morning, Melicent is woken up by someone pounding on her front door. Detective Rateliff has another detective with him and explains that one of the patients she took on the field trip to the strip club was murdered overnight. The first suspect, a former hooker is arrested and then cleared, but she refuses to leave county jail as it's much more interesting than the nursing home. To stay, she starts giving detectives information on long unsolved crimes including bank robberies, kidnappings, and art thefts. Melicent is determined to search with the help of her friends, using their charm the find some suspects and worry there have been and will be more victims. Along the way there are kidnappings, resisting arrest, jail house Christmas party, Neighborhood Christmas party, even a Christmas party at Girls-n-Grits. So many parties, how will Melicent celebrate Christmas? In conclusion, "A Melicent Christmas" is a thrilling novel that follows Melicent Unger's journey through loneliness and loss with laughs. Melicent Unger is excited for Halloween, all the goodies to eat, decorations and surprises. Her friends once again have to dig up evidence to clear Melicent and find the real killers. Along the way there are guest performers at the club including a troupe of midgets known as the Lucious Little People, Tammy Tits with the largest breasts anyone as seen, pole dancer that has been poisoned and more.

Melicent Unger finally free from her legal troubles, heads out for a fun filled road trip with her new beau SD. The trip has trouble from the beginning when SD's old truck and camper is smashed before they hit the highway. After a delay the couple is on the open road in her old VW bug with a roof rack fully loaded. They visit the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Tombstone and Fort Sumner meandering along they don't know they are wanted in a murder case in a small town in Arizona. Our couple ends up in jail in Galveston County Texas, where Melicent accidentally gets additional charges. Is this the end for our couple? Follow them on this adventure.

A small group of pen pals of a Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate decided they needed to research the case of their "friend" that had been convicted of. This pen pal had spent decades claiming to have been an abused spouse, suffering physical, mental, emotional and financial abuse. Many of us pen pals could related! She earned the name CaCa Counterfeiter, going to prison for a short sentence after making a deal with the DA. Determined to start over with a job, place of her own and a little romance she fights with her new friend Flo over some of Las Vegas' older gentlemen. She picked the wrong gentleman and ended up back in jail. Finally doing community service at the Clark County Fair in Logandale, Nevada where there is more than one mystery to solve.Get ready to laugh.
