Jenny had naively believed Sam was a good man in spite of what everyone said. Finding out the hard way, and finding herself with a son to care for, she finally had the courage to leave. But would he ever leave her alone? Michah, home from the mission field, wanted to help Jenny any way he could. Wanting to help and being able to, seemed to be two different things. What can he do? Being sent over the road as a traveling missionary was keeping him away, unable to help. The solution came with a tornado. God really does see us through the storm... The more time Glennis spends at home, the more she enjoys being there. Although...the desire to travel is still there...she wants her own RV. Peggy Sue isn't as young as she used to be, and "Mom" promised she could go with her on her adventures. Having their own RV would mean they were always home and always together.
Rachelle's life changed forever in an instant. Who were these people that killed her parents? Why were they after her? Moving away from the home she grew up in didn't stop them. Officer Harris kept her close, safe. He was kind, a true gentleman, just like he was when she knew him as a teenager. The childish crush she had on him then was growing into something not so childish. Would they always just be friends? Glennis calls central Illinois home and always has. Retirement has set well with her and she finds she is enjoying it more with each passing day. Forever thankful to God for being able to retire before COVID hit; before she became a front line worker, she whiled away countless hours in front of her computer pounding out more stories for the Faith Unfolding Chapel Series. Lori fell for the wrong man and now she fears for her life because of it. Finding herself halfway across the country and starting over on a waitress' wages has only added to the burden she carries and quietly tries to hide. Marcus, and his twin brother Michah, become an ever present source of comfort. As her world is falling apart, her love for Marcus grows and their relationship strengthens. Will marriage and another move bring an end to her growing problem? Born and raised in central Illinois, Glennis is most comfortable describing herself as a country girl. Although, she does love to travel (and hasn't done near as much as she would like to), she also loves hanging out at home with her dog, Peggy Sue. After a thirty year career with the U. S. Postal Service, she finally retired in 2019. Now she has the time and freedom to pursue her lifelong dream to write and publish stories.
