Santana is a Latin music and rock group formed in San Francisco, California, US during 1966 by Mexican-American guitarist Carlos Santana, having captured the attention of the public with their performance of "Soul Sacrifice" at Woodstock in 1969. The exposure helped propel their eponymous first album into becoming a hit, being followed over the next two years by Abraxas and Santana III. There were frequent lineup changes, with Carlos Santana's increasing involvement with the guru Sri Chinmoy taking the group into more esoteric music, though never losing its Latin influence.

The Prodigy is an English electronic music band from Braintree, Essex, England, UK, formed during 1990 by keyboardist and songwriter Liam Howlett. The first line-up of the group also included MC and vocalist Maxim, dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, dancer and live keyboardist Leeroy Thornhill, and dancer and vocalist Sharky. Along with the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy has been credited as pioneers of the breakbeat-influenced genre big beat, which achieved mainstream popularity in the '90s.

Born into a large family C?line emerged as a teen star in her homeland with a series of French-language albums during the 1980s. After learning to speak English, Dion signed to Epic Records in the US, releasing her debut English-language L.P., Unison in 1990, establishing herself as a pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.
Samuel Cook, born on January 22nd, 1931, Clarksdale, Mississippi, U.S., known professionally as Sam Cooke, was a singer, songwriter, civil rights activist and entrepreneur. Influential as both a singer and composer, Cooke is commonly known as the King of Soul for his distinctive vocals and importance within popular music. Sam began singing as a child, having joined The Soul Stirrers before moving on to a solo career, having a string of hit songs including "You Send Me", "A Change Is Gonna Come", "Wonderful World", "Chain Gang", "Twistin' the Night Away", and "Bring it on Home to Me".
The Grateful Dead was a rock band formed during 1965 in Palo Alto, San Francisco Bay Area, California, US. He's regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of American popular music and a seminal artist in soul music and rhythm and blues. Redding's style of singing was inspired by the gospel music that preceded the genre, while influencing many other soul artists of the '60s. During his lifetime, his recordings were produced by Stax Records, based in Memphis, Tennessee.
