This reader includes my articles published in my book, anthologies, and journals from 2015 to present. The majority of chapters were written within the last five years. My research concerning Mago, the Great Mother, began in 2000 for my doctoral dissertation. For the first fourteen years, it was extremely difficult for me to produce articles or a book treating Magoism directly due mainly to the overwhelmingly immense, complex, and slippery nature of the topic. In the course of time, my research focus evolved from Magoism to Magoist Cetaceanism. I learned that Magoist women and mothers were not alone in shaping the destiny of pre- and proto-patriarchal worlds. Contrarily, they were guided by the natural world headed by cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises). They discovered cetaceans divine. Whales, surpassing the human standard (in planetary origin, lifespan, biological magnitude, aquatic residence, meteorological influence, sonic communications, and communal social behaviors, to name a few), had been the guardian of the Planet, Earth. Their planetary presence was the model for the divine. In alliance with whales, Shaman Queens of the ancient world cultivated the consciousness of the matriverse (maternally perceived universe). What was feared by patriarchs was not just women but cetaceans whom women revered and bonded with. My encounter with Magoist Cetaceanism enabled me to transform my feminist consciousness into the matriversal consciousness. Feminism is an antidote against patriarchy. Where patriarchy is dispelled, feminism undergoes transformation. Our historical consciousness is not linear. Our view of the past shapes the future. My study of pre-patriarchal confederacies of Old Korea/East Asia shows that patriarchy is a short-living unreality. Patriarchy has proved repeatedly that it is incapable of leading the world in harmony with the universe. That is because it is built on the partial, distorted view that the male is supreme above ALL else. Where the male self is deemed outside the web of interdependence, his rule is there only to be subverted by the rebel force from within. In the matricentric world, women and mothers share agency with ALL else. In the case of Magoist Korea, they revere cetaceans as the terrestrial divine. My research on Magoist Cetaceanism shows the way for humans to restore peace and harmony within the matriverse.

This anthology, Celebrating Intercosmic Kinship of the Goddess, is prepared as a sequence to Celebrating Seasons of the Goddess (Mago Books, 2017). As suggested in the title, she jumps off from her older sister book to the territory untrodden. Our contributors individually and collectively take an audacious action to voice the conviction that we all are interconnected on a cosmic level. We mean not only interspecial kinship but also unity with intercosmic entities including constellations and deities. When the statement, "We are One," is captured as WE/HERE/NOW, our language becomes soteriological. Seeking intercosmic kinship is salvific, not only to women and men but also to ALL in the matriverse (maternally perceived universe). Our goal is not just being awakened but staying awakened to the Oneness of ALL in the matriverse. We hope our readers experience the power of speaking truth (removing illusions) embodied in the essays, poems, fictions, photographic works, artworks, and art essays of this volume. She Rises: How Goddess Feminism, Activism, and Spirituality? is a proud sister book to She Rises: Why Goddess Feminism, Activism, and Spirituality? Inheriting the legacy of Volume 1, it continues to interweave the warp (the theme of the book) and the weft (our stories). What we present in this book is a tapestry collectively interwoven by twenty-first century Goddessians/Magoists. As many as 96 contributors from around the world have provided captivating motifs in multi-genres of prose, poetry, and art. This tapestry is no ordinary one; it stands as the genome map of the primordial consciousness of WE in S/HE to those who will discover it. It charts out ways to undo patriarchal programs at personal, cultural, and cosmic levels and to enter the Way of the Primordial Mother, or the Creatrix. She Rises Volume 2 distinguishes herself from her predecessor in several ways. Most apparently, the warp, the "how" question, that is, "How are we committed to Goddess Feminism, Activism, and Spirituality?", summons us, our authors and readers, to put in action our answers provided to the "why" question, "Why are we committed to Goddess Feminism, Activism, and Spirituality?", in the previous volume. And the weft, our stories, consolidates our roots in the inseparable one ground of feminism, activism, and spirituality of the Primordial Mother. The horizon is widened with new markings. Voices are emboldened, exposing hidden patriarchal ruses. And our images whisper deep and ongoing awakenings. This book works at multi-dimensions. Structured as Nine Sisters (Chapters) under Three Mothers (Parts), like her predecessor, this book takes on another layer of meaning in that it restores the Nine Goddess/Mago Movement in our time.
