Years ago, my husband and I were visiting some friends. They had just adopted a little boy. At one point during the evening, I picked up his ball that he was tossing. When he came over to retrieve it, he looked at me and asked, "What are those spots on your face?"I told him, "Freckles."He next asked, "Why, and what do they do?"I smiled and told him, "I don't know, but at night, I feel them moving about."His eyes opened so wide, and the shocked look on his face just made everyone laugh, including him.Some years later, I remembered that and sat down and wrote a story about it.
