Eternity lies within the pages of this small book. There is another way of understanding the afterlife, a way that is sensible and measurable (to a certain degree) as well as impartial and universal, hidden in plain sight beneath the broad categories of theism, agnosticism, and atheism. Through a multifaceted exploration involving poetry, philosophy, history, and recent medical research, J. Martin Strangeweather introduces the reader to the Eidetic Afterlife Hypothesis, otherwise known as the hyper-dilation of dreamtime during the dying brain process.

Zoo-Fi is a collection of otherworldly stories featuring animal protagonists. These tales aren't cutesy, nor are they gratuitously sentimental. The animals herein are very humanlike, and the humans tend to behave rather beastly. This surreal anthology includes stories by Cindy El, Reggie Peralta, Frida Jauregui, Alisa Von Schimmelmann, Ian Reafsnyder, and J. Martin Strangeweather.

"Sophoetics: Philosophy Poems thinks uncannily as a collection, wondering what exquisite and gruesome facts of the universe give us our everyday experience. J. Martin Strangeweather addresses this question smartly askew, often funny, and always skeptical in a mode that is more psychedelic than it is Sextus Empiricus."-Daniel M. Gross (Professor of English at University of California, Irvine, and the author of Being-Moved: Rhetoric As the Art of Listening)

Electric Zen for Neon Koans is an experimental tour de force told in eighty-one koans (Zen riddles) rather than traditional chapters. The story involves a married intersex couple (Phil and Ruth) and their attempt to find peace with themselves through the ingestion of a mind-altering substance in the jungles of Mexico, except this is no ordinary hallucinogen. The drug in this novel causes metafictional hallucinations. The story explores the trials of traveling, the complexities of long-term relationships, the bizarreness and wonder of language, how it is that we come to acquire knowledge and understand ourselves, and the experience of sublimity, including a unique account of the moment of enlightenment. It's also about a warrior trying to return to a home that no longer exists. Phil and Ruth become intensely real and alive throughout their journey, while you (the reader) turn into a piece of fiction, finding yourself in the same predicament as the protagonists by the end of the novel.

What sort of deviltry has J. Martin Strangeweather conjured up this time? Magister Strangeweather would have us believe this collection of diabolical poesy is an exorcism, a purgation. Humorous, startling, and painfully insightful, the incantations herein are sure to leave the reader transformed. Between these pages you will find Beelzebub, Mammon, Mephistopheles, zombie yogis, a stranger version of the Frankenstein monster, and all manner of demons bound upside down in the service of righteousness. Abandon all fear, ye who enter here.
