Every prophet of Allah Ta'ala had a group of followers who were his helpers and students. After the demise of that prophet, they kept alive his teachings by propagating what he had taught them. In this manner, for centuries, various religious groups survived. Similarly, our beloved Nabi, Hadhrat Muhammad PBUH also had a group of followers who sat in his company, learnt from him the religion of Islaam, fought for Islaam with him and obeyed him. These people are known as the Sahaabah RA. They totaled over a hundred thousand. It is an accepted fact that after the Ambiyaa AS, the Sahaabah RA are the most excellent people. The companionship of each Sahaabi differed. Some were closer to Rasulullah PBUH than others. In the light of the Qur'aan and Ahaadith in which the excellences of the Sahaabah RA are mentioned, the Ulama agree that the most excellent amongst the Sahaabah RA are the Khulafaa-e-Raashideen according to the sequence of their khilaafat. Thereafter are the other six Sahaabah RA who were granted the glad tidings of Jannah in their lifetime. They are Hadhrat Talha RA, Hadhrat Zubair RA, Hadhrat S'ad RA, Hadhrat Sa'eed RA, Hadhrat Abdur-Rahmaan RA and Hadhrat Abu 'Ubaidah RA. The four Khulafaa and these six Sahaabah RA are known as 'Al- 'Asharatul-Mubash-sharah' (The ten men who were given the glad tidings of their definite entrance into Jannah). Thereafter comes the rank of the Badriyyeen. The Badriyyeen were those Sahaabah who participated in the Battle of Badr. The above ranks were even acknowledged by Hadhrat Umar RA when he used to grant allowances to the Sahaabah RA. The greater the sacrifice, the greater was the allowance.

  • - Solution To All Your Health Problem

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi Wasallam) has mentioned that there are two favours which most people take lightly; "Good health and free time." Looking after our health is an essential part of a Muslim's life. If we are not careful regarding this important aspect of our lives, then we may be deprived of many important aamaal (May Allah Ta'ala protect us all). We may be unable to perform Salaah with Jama'ah, go out in the path of Allah, make Jihaad and help the poor and needy if we do not preserve good health. In another Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi Wasallam) has mentioned, "A strong Muslim is better and more beloved to Allah Ta'ala than a weak Muslim." We have been repeatedly taught in the Ahaadith to make dua for good health and seek Allah Ta'ala's protection from dreadful diseases. One such dua is as follows, "0 Allah! Keep my hearing well, keep my sight well and keep my body well." Make shukar and thank Allah Ta'ala for the good health that we enjoy and in turn Allah Ta'ala will increase us in good health. This book is full of tried and tested recipes which have been found useful. Here I have to sound a note of caution that if one is not sure of any ingredient helping them and it might be harmful for them, then it should be queried from a qualified Hakeem. Secondly, if no benefit is noticed, then too a Hakeem has to be consulted. It will help a person tremendously to help themselves recover using natural methods instead of going through conventional medication which is really costly and full of harmful side effects. I ask Allah to accept this work and make it beneficial to the Ummah. Aameen.

  • - An ideal gift for the young daughters of the Ummah

Allah Ta'ala has created the human being as 'ASHRAFUL MAKHLOOQAAT' (the best of His creation). Males and females have been created differently with their own unique physical and emotional characteristics and needs. All these are signs of His evident power and greatness. A female's first haidh (period / menstruation) is actually a transition or crossing over for her from childhood to adulthood. It is an important time in her life, because along with this change comes huge responsibilities. Apart from physical changes (which take place inside our bodies), we undergo emotional changes (the way we feel), as well as mental changes (the way we understand things). It is, therefore, very important for us to prepare ourselves for this transformation. This body is an amaanah (trust) from Allah Ta'ala. We use it to make the ibaadah (worship) of Allah Ta'ala. Therefore, it is important that we take care of it as best we can in order to fulfill the rights of Allah Ta'ala. However, it is not only our physical strength and mental well-being that we ought to worry about, but also our personal hygiene. This booklet has been compiled especially for our young sisters (9 -12 year olds) and may also be used as a guide for those mothers who find it difficult to speak to their daughters about these matters. The first part of the kitaab should be done in Grade 6 and the second part in Grade 7. With the help of Allah Ta'ala and by means of the following information, we will have a better idea of how our bodies work and how to cope with the physical and emotional changes that our bodies undergo. This kitaab is dedicated to all the young sisters of this ummah. We make dua that Allah Ta'ala makes this kitaab a means of Hidaayat (guidance) for you, Insha Allah!

All Praise be to Allah Ta'ala, The Master of the worlds. May Allah Ta'ala's special blessings, mercies and salawaat descend upon our beloved master Sayyidina, Rasulullah PBUH forever and ever. The Basic 'ilm (knowledge of Deen) is the weapon of every believer. Without knowing what is right from wrong, man will never be able to save himself from evil and sin. Without the knowledge of Deen, man is a vulnerable victim of shaytaan. The primary maktab system is designed to equip the children of the Ummah, with the basic knowledge of Deen, which will carry them along for the rest of their lives in the obedience of Allah Ta'ala and in following the sunnah of Rasulullah PBUH. This book titled 'Basic Fiqh' is designed to teach little children the basic Islamic laws according to the teachings and the Fiqh of Hadhrat Imaam Abu Hanifah RA. An attempt has been made to cover the basic but very important aspects of Fiqh in this little booklet (Insha Allah). Though many books of Fiqh are currently available, the intention in preparing this little booklet was to present some basic rules of fundamental importance making it easier for children to learn. The Ta'limi Board (KZN) has officially introduced this booklet into the maktab curriculum. Part One of this book is taught in Grade 6 and Part two in Grade 7. May Allah Ta'ala accept this little publication and make it a means of attaining His pleasure and may He make this book a means of great benefit for the Ummah. Aameen. Note: All Masael is realted to Hanafi Madhahab
