Construction was at its boom in Texas then. About fifteen years ago, a back problem forced him to slow down. So he enrolled in college to earn a degree in construction management and soon after a certification as an OSHA outreach instructor. Up to this point life has been good; he didn't have to struggle anymore-or so he thought. The safety man gets hurt, and his efforts to provide for his family is cast to the back seat. Now, struggling takes on a new meaning as he prepares himself for work each day.
