Jørn Lier Horst (født 27. februar 1970 i Bamble) er en prisvinnende kriminalforfatter og dramatiker. Horst er utdannet ved Politihøgskolen i Oslo og har jobbet som etterforskningsleder helt frem til han ble heltidsforfatter i 2013. Spesielt er han kjent for krimserien om William Wisting, den omsorgsfulle og rettsindige politietterforskeren med det store hjertet. Handlingen i bøkene er hentet rett ut av en politimanns hverdag og er i all hovedsak lagt til områder han kjenner godt fra eget arbeid. I tillegg har han hatt stor suksess med sine krimserien for barn, CLUE-serien og Detektivbyrå nr. 2.
