Jordan Harrington is an elementary school teacher living in a small Iowa town who has made elaborate plans to propose to his girlfriend, Katie. Those plans become interrupted by two terrified children (Ben and Jackie) and their mother (Deborah), who is the victim of an abusive husband. Jordan and Katie step in to the rescue and must find a safe haven for Deborah, Ben, and Jackie before it's too late.
