Drawing upon a long and immersive experience hiking around Lake Tahoe, as if to return myself to the sea, explores the interconnectedness of the body and mind with the natural world. As if to return myself to the sea asks for a redefinition of home, a shifting of perspective and place, and a way for memories in the mind to become experiences in the body. From Massachusetts and the woods of New Hampshire to the deserts of Utah and mountains of Colorado, as if to return myself to the sea is a wandering that attempts, over and over again, to find home.
